Margaret Peters

Margaret Peters was a leading midwife in Australia and internationally during the 1960’s and through to the 1990’s.

She was the inaugural president of the Australian College of Midwives, an ACM Board member for 12 years. Her roles have included being President of the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM), and President of the Australian committee for UNICEF.

Margaret plays an important role as a member of the ACM Australian Midwifery History Project steering group.
