Pamela Mulholland

On Clinical Placement at Royal North Shore Hospital Maternity Unit as part of my Associate Diploma in Nurse Education in 1984, I met Dorothy McLennan and attended a NSW Midwives meeting.

At that meeting plans were being made for an International Midwives Conference to be held in Sydney 1984. From this meeting I became an active member of the NSW Midwives Association now the Australian College of Midwives NSW Branch.

I was an original member of the BFHI committee 1993 and became a Lifetime member of the College.

My interest in History happened after meeting Pamela Hayes who was an advocate for recording History and maintaining photos, books, records and instruments used by midwives throughout history.

I continue to be actively involved in the work of the ACM NSW History and Archives Committee.
