Rachele Low
Rachele’s experiences as a birthing woman led her to maternity advocacy work from 2003, and a desire to practice midwifery. She enrolled in the Bachelor of Midwifery in 2007 and has been a registered midwife since completing her studies. Rachele is an endorsed midwife, and has worked in a variety of midwifery roles including clinical practice in both private practice and hospital, education, and research.
Rachele has served on ACM Committees since her student days and is currently a member of the NSW Committee as well as the History and Archives Committee. She has a strong interest in the history of midwifery, midwives, and birthing practices, and has completed postgraduate qualifications in Information Studies. Rachele is interested in recording the histories of midwives and the women they have cared for, and plans to undertake such a project in 2024.
